Call for Abstracts: Student Poster Session

++ UPDATE ++ Please send your abstracts as a .pdf file to konvens2022@uni-potsdam.de

We cordially invite submissions of abstracts to the Student Poster Session at KONVENS 2022, which takes place from September 12th-15th, 2022 in Potsdam.

We welcome contributions on student projects or Bachelor/Master theses related to research, development, applications and evaluation, covering all areas of natural language processing, ranging from basic questions to practical implementations of natural language resources, components and systems. The format of the submission should follow the official style guidelines of KONVENS 2022, with a maximum length of 2 pages including all text, figures and tables, plus an unlimited number of pages for references.

All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters (and demos if suitable) in the Student Poster Session at KONVENS. The decisions will be based on the nature rather than the quality of the work. The conference languages are English and German. We encourage the submission of contributions in English. The review process will be single-blind, i.e., authors do not need to anonymize their submissions.

Each submission must have at least one student author who is currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master program in Computational Linguistics or related fields. Student authors (only Bachelor/Master students, no PhD students) of accepted papers that are also GSCL student members (the membership for students is free) will be invited to apply for a GSCL conference travel scholarship. The applications will include a CV and a short (15 sentences max.) letter of motivation. These documents do not need to be submitted with the initial abstract submission!
